Experts’ discussions on youth mobility: MOVE’s Open Dialogue Day

MOVE Open Dialogue Day

On February 9th, MOVE partners University of Luxembourg and ERYICA held a very inspiring and successful Open Dialogue Day on Youth Mobility and Youth Transitions in Brussels. The event offered a great opportunity of exchange between youth workers, policy makers and other stakeholders in the field of youth mobility.

Scientists working in the MOVE project and the YMobility project - another EU-funded research project dedicated to youth mobility - discussed the impact of their work with the other guests.

A main issue of the discussions was whether mobility contributes to employability, and if so, under which conditions this can be said. MOVE coordinator Prof Dr Ute Karl suggested looking at employability from a relational-situational perspective taking economic and social conditions as well as social networks into consideration instead of regarding it as an individual capacity.

All MOVErs enjoyed this spirited meeting and thank all attendees for their interesting contributions.
