Mapping mobility – pathways, institutions and structural effects of youth mobility in Europe
MOVE will provide a research-informed contribution towards an improvement of the conditions of the mobility of young people in Europe and a reduction of the negative impacts of mobility
Data generation
MOVE will provide a quantitative integrated database on European youth mobility
Analysis
MOVE will analyse mobility of young people in the EU and generate systematic knowledge about young people’s mobility patterns
Reflection
MOVE will develop a theoretical framework to reflect youth mobility
Recommendation
MOVE will give research-informed recommendations on how mobility of young people can be ‘good’ both for socio-economic development and for individual development‏

MOVE meets up with its Policy Advisor

At the 23rd of August, Reinhard Schwalbach from IJAB/Germany, who is at also president of EURODESK and member of the policy advisory board of MOVE discussed with the MOVE team in Luxembourg the relevance and impact of the research within MOVE for policy and practice. Especially, strategies of counselling and guidance of young people and how they could support the mobility of young people, and the interrelation of risks and chances of mobility in regard of socio-economic background were major topics of deep and interesting discussions. Future strategies of working together on the dissemination of the results were elaborated.
